De Boer Marine has strengthened its collaboration with satellite operator SES, agreeing to a multi-year deal that will bring SES’s FlexMaritime connectivity service to maritime customers around the globe.

Under the new agreement, SES will supply De Boer Marine with global, multi-orbit satellite and terrestrial connectivity built on its FlexMaritime platform. Paired with De Boer Marine’s own expertise in installing, integrating and managing onboard satellite systems, the partnership is designed to give ship operators dependable connectivity that keeps critical vessel systems running and opens the door to new digital, data-driven services at sea.

The expanded connectivity is expected to support use cases such as real-time vessel monitoring, route optimisation, remote maintenance support and improved crew welfare — helping De Boer Marine’s customers work more efficiently and make better-informed decisions while underway.

FlexMaritime combines SES’s high-throughput, multi-orbit satellite network with integrated ground infrastructure, giving merchant shipping owners and operators a single platform through which to manage their connectivity and support their crews.
