Project Highlight

Successfully Completed: Arthur Douglas Navigation & Communication Package

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of one of our latest projects at De Boer Marine: the navigation and communication package for the newly built Arthur Douglas, a state-of-the-art vessel for Inverlussa Marine Services. This project was completed in record time, showcasing our team’s efficiency and dedication.

About the Arthur Douglas

The Arthur Douglas is a 21-meter semi-hybrid fish farm service vessel, designed to operate 60 miles offshore under MCA Cat 2 regulations. This vessel is equipped with a 37 kWh battery pack, providing 24 hours of power for the living quarters. This innovative feature eliminates the need for a generator overnight or during weather days, significantly reducing noise, fuel consumption, and carbon footprint.

Versatile and Efficient Design

The Arthur Douglas is designed for general site service duties and boasts a custom-designed deck layout tailored for mooring work. The vessel has a bollard pull of approximately 8 tons and can carry a deck cargo of up to 90 tons. It also has the capacity to accommodate 2 x 20 ft containers and 1 x 10 ft container. Additionally, the Arthur Douglas is capable of fuel and water transfer, making it a versatile asset for a variety of maritime operations.

Our Commitment to Excellence

From the early stages of the project, when the components were still fresh and wrapped in bubble wrap during the photoshoots, our commitment to excellence was evident. Every detail of the navigation and communication package was meticulously crafted and installed to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
